The Boshoff is a unique blend of sophistication and simplicity in a comfortable, casual yet stylish atmosphere.
The self catering accommodation includes a free standing house, with 3 bedrooms, 1 en-suite, as well as a fully fitted kitchen, separate bathroom and toilet and lounge. The property offers secure parking for 3-4 vehicles, with automated gated entrance , alarm system. The Boshoff offers all of the features and facilities that visitors need to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed holiday or business trip.
The Boshoff family members are no strangers to wheelchair accessibility and the challenges to find truly accessible accommodation, since Wanda has been wheelchair bound since December 1998.
The guesthouse has completed the first phase of their accessible compliance and currently caters for:
- Older and Less Mobile Guests
- Part Time Wheelchair Users
- Independent, physically strong wheelchair users.
Wanda and Wané, the mother-and-daughter Universal Design team will continue to make the required accessibility adjustments and adaptations. They aim to eventually comply with recommended building regulations to accommodate as many different disabled guests as possible. In doing so, they will maintain their focus on aesthetically pleasing universal design.
We recognise that accessibility is always a personal issue. Therefore we try and provide the means for our visitors to make an assessment about The Boshoff and immediate local area for themselves. We will answer any questions factually and honestly towards helping each visitor reach that all important decision about booking their holiday or business accommodation.
About the Bluff
The self catering accommodation is located on the Bluff, a seaside suburb south of Durban, within walking distance of some of the city’s most popular beaches.
The Bluff is a popular holiday destination, with plentiful seaside recreation. The area is known for its abundant sea life, including dolphins, and, in the winter months, whales.
Visitors are spoilt for choice on the Bluff! They can choose from stretches of unspoilt beaches with dunes, to rock pools and several fishing, diving and surfing spots that provide sport and recreation for the adventurous.
Ansteys Beach with its paddling pools and surf spots is popular with the local residents especially the surfers, body boarders and kite surfers.
The Bluff offers a variety of attractions including an 18 hole golf course, mashie course (miniature golf), yacht club, a bird sanctuary and a nature reserve. On the way to the Millennium Tower visitors can enjoy magnificent harbour and city views or a tour of the old whaling station, one of the last remaining symbols that remind us that whaling took place off the coast of Durban many years ago.
There is a selection of main chain stores to choose from in one of two shopping centres within 4km from The Boshoff and a variety of restaurants and take-aways ranging from seafood restaurants to steak houses, pizza parlours etc.
Once visited you will return to our friendly, coastal suburb.
