Please Note:

As responsible property owners, The Boshoff will do everything possible to:

  • Ensure a pleasant stay for guests, and
  • Maintain good relationships with neighbours (The Boshoff accommodation is situated in a quiet residential area).

Therefore, right of admission to properties are reserved, and these Terms and Conditions are enforced strictly.

The Boshoff’s Terms & Conditions are non-negotiable and will not be discussed or compromised.

Our terms are for the safety of our guests and our neighbourhood.

Please ensure that you have read and understand all of our Terms & Conditions BEFORE finalizing your booking.

The fine print...

Check-in time – strictly between 2pm to 6pm

  • Check-ins between 6pm and 9pm will incur a surcharge of R250.00.
  • Guests arriving after 9pm will forfeit their booking and will not be checked in with no refund of their reservation fee. NO KEYS WILL BE HANDED OVER AFTER 9PM.
  • Keys will be handed over to the registered guest only after payment and administration.
  • Check-out time – strictly by no later than 10am
  • Check out between 10am and 11am will incur a surcharge of R500. 
  • Check out after 11pm will incur 1 full day reservation fee.
  • No smoking of any kind, vaping or hubbly is permitted inside any of the rooms, the cottage or the suite under any circumstances. If there are any traces, signs or smells indicating that someone was smoking indoors, a deep cleaning fee will be charged.
  • Kitchens are to be kept clean and tidy at all times. No dirty dishes allowed.
  • Out of respect for neighbours, noise levels should be kept to a minimum – quiet hours between 10h00pm and 06h00am
  • No loitering, social gathering or congregating in the road in front of The Boshoff’s premises or in any area inside the premises.
  • No music to be played from car stereos or portable devices in parking area.
  • No parties or events of any kind permitted.
  • Maximum occupancy must be adhered to and include children of all ages – Max 2 people per room, cottage and the suite respectively (depending on the number of people paid for, ie. if only 1 guest is booked and paid for only 1 guest is permitted onto the property and into the room).
  • No visitors or additional guests permitted on The Boshoff’s premises.
  • Unauthorised persons sleeping over who were not originally booked and paid for will be fined at a premium rate of R600 per person per night.

Check Out

  • Check out is no later than 10h00. Late check out will incur a late check out fee.
  • Check out between 10am and 11am will incur a surcharge of R500.
  • Check out after 11pm will incur 1 full day reservation fee.
  • Wash, dry and replace used dishes and leave kitchen tidy. 
  • Remove rubbish from the house and place in the large rubbish bin next to the house.
  • Remove left over food and beverages from the fridge.
  • Place all used towels in the bath/shower and leave unused towels on the bed.
  • Place all used make up remover/face towels into the small black basket in the bathroom. DO NOT REMOVE FACE TOWELS FROM THE HOUSE.
  • Switch all air conditioners and TV sets off and place remotes back into their respective book boxes.
  • When you are ready to leave, you don’t have to wait for someone to handle check out.
  • Please lock up your room, exit the gate of the property, shut it behind you and drop the key into the mailbox on the centre pillar outside the property (below the number 99).
  • Should you neglect to leave the keys, ie. depart with our keys, a key replacement fee of R500 will be charged to your account.
  • (PLEASE NOTE: When a set of keys is not returned, The Boshoff has to recalibrate ALL remotes and the lock of the room where the key is missing has to be changed in the interest of safety and security. Such a charge reaches an amount of R2500 and more.)

Liability

  • ALL GUESTS ENTER THE BOSHOFF GUESTHOUSE, 99 BEAUMONT RD’S PREMISES AT OWN RISK.
  • Any damage to the property or its contents should be reported immediately upon arrival to Owners/ Management. Failing to do so, guests will be held liable for any damage to the property or contents.

All vehicles parked at own risk.

  • The Owners/Management of The Boshoff Comfy Spot, The Boshoff Compact Double, The Boshoff Corner King, The Boshoff Garden Cottage and The Boshoff Suite are not liable and do not accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of any guest’s property.
  • The Owners/Management’s private residence is off limits to all guests. 

Safety

  • The front gates (big wooden gates) at the entrance should be closed and locked at all times.
  • Unauthorised persons/visitors are not allowed on the premises.
  • Our guests’ safety is our top priority and should you not comply with these rules, guests will be expected to settle the FULL account and leave the premises immediately.
  • Please make sure you lock all doors and security gates of the room you are occupying, during the day and especially at night.

Self Catering

  • The Boshoff Rooms, Garden Cottage and The Boshoff Suite are self catering accommodation units – guests prepare all meals independently. The Boshoff will not provide any meals.
  • Upon leaving, guests are expected to leave all accommodation options in the same condition as on arrival. If guests do not comply with these conditions, additional charges will be incurred for deep cleaning charges.
  • Please note – cleaning and servicing is NOT included in the accommodation fee but can be arranged at an additional charge.
  • No cleaning and servicing will be provided during weekends.

Braai Facilities

  • Braai facilities are only available for PAYING guests booked in at The Boshoff Comfy Spot, Corner King, Compact Double, The Boshoff Garden Cottage and The Boshoff Suite.
  • Should any problems arise, guests will be expected to settle the FULL account and leave the premises immediately.
  • No braai wood will be supplied.
  • No noise after 10pm.
  • Noise levels are expected to be kept to a minimum out of respect to the neighbours and will be closely monitored by Owners/Management.

Toilets

  • No foreign objects including cigarette butts, cotton buds, tampons, sanitary pads or any other material, other than toilet paper, may be flushed down the toilet. Charges will occur for any blockage.

Payments

  • Accommodation rates apply at the time of making a booking.
  • We do not accept cheques.
  • 50% deposit must be paid at the time of making the booking to confirm a reservation. Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card payment following credit card link provided.
  • Balance of the payment, ie. outstanding balance must be settled in full no less than 7 days prior to arrival.
  • Accommodation will automatically be cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date. 

Cancellations

  • No show or cancellation on day of arrival: 100% of total booking will be charged.
  • In the event of a premature departure the full extent of the stay, as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. 
  • Only cancellations via email will be accepted and the following refund percentages will apply:
  • More than 30 days before arrival: 100% 
  • 14 days before arrival: 75% 
  • 7-14 days before arrival: 50%
  • Less than 7 days before arrival: No refund (full reservation fee will be charged)
  • An administration fee of R 50 will be deducted from any refund due.

Insurance

  • We strongly recommend that all clients be insured against possible cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, loss or theft of personal belongings etc.
  • We recommend that all our international guest ensure that their Travel Insurance is up to date.

Use of Facilities & Extras

  • Limited water restrictions are in place in our area. Use water wisely. Don’t leave taps running.
  • WASHING OF CARS OR ANY OTHER VEHICLES/LARGE ITEMS IS NOT ALLOWED.
  • Free fibre wifi is available to guests only.
  • Load shedding and power outages are a reality in South Africa. While the owners will attempt at all times to keep guests informed of expected outages, they will not accept responsibility for unexpected or extended outages.
  • The Boshoff provides portable lights and table top gas burners to boil water and cook on in each of our rooms.
  • The property has invested in solar power and an inverter system for back up power in the event of power outages or load shedding. However, PLEASE NOTE: The duration of the back up power largely depends on the number of guests on the property, the number of appliances and electrical outlets used and the intensity and availability of the sun during the day to charge the inverters.
  • THE BOSHOFF CANNOT GUARANTEE POWER THROUGHOUT THE DAY OR NIGHT DESPITE THE SOLAR AND INVERTER SYSTEM.

Group Bookings

The person making the reservation (the booker):

  • Accepts full responsibility, in his/her personal capacity, for any losses, breakages or damages of any nature occurring to the The Boshoff property, or the content thereof, during their stay.
  • Agrees to convey all of the property’s Terms and Conditions to all the members in his/her group, and
  • Accepts the responsibility to ensure that all members adhere to the stipulations of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Accepts that the number of people and number of vehicles are in accordance with the property’s terms and conditions. The capacity of the individual rooms/garden cottage/suite will reflect on your booking form and may not be exceeded.
  • Right of admission to all properties/rooms is reserved. If any person in the group misbehaves to the judgment of the owner of the property, everyone in the group has to leave the premises immediately on request of the owner, without a warning and without any refund.

Third Party Bookings

The person making the reservation (the booker):

  • Accepts full responsibility, in his/her personal capacity, for any losses, breakages or damages of any nature occurring to the The Boshoff property, or the content thereof, during their stay.
  • Agrees to convey all of the property’s Terms and Conditions to all the members in his/her group, and
  • Accepts the responsibility to ensure that all members adhere to the stipulations of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Accepts that the number of people and number of vehicles are in accordance with the property’s terms and conditions. The capacity of the individual rooms/garden cottage/suite will reflect on your booking form and may not be exceeded.
