It’s already June and in most parts of South Africa people are feeling the winter chills. Durban’s sunny weather just keeps on offering gorgeous days and we have to ask…”Is it even winter in Durban?”
Temperatures dip here from time to time, but 24℃ in the midst of winter is quite common! Beach days never end and the warm Indian Ocean remains inviting throughout the year. Again…is it even winter right now?
A stroll on Durban’s beautiful promenade promises exquisite views. Out of town visitors and locals alike have much to choose from in terms of ideal spots to enjoy a bite to eat or a leisurely drink.
Exercise enthusiasts can especially appreciate this part of Durban, since the promenade stretches all the way from the harbour entrance to Blue Lagoon. It’s the ideal place to cycle, jog, walk, run, skateboard or to do any other form of exercise that gets you from A to B. The smooth surfaces are perfect for wheelchairs making it a popular spot for wheelchair users to exercise.

The following review sums up a visit to Durban perfectly and I couldn’t put it better in words if I tried!
A hot pot of different cultures, Indian, Muslim, European and Zulu. Beautiful Art Deco Buildings that has dubbed this city “little Miami”. Stunning winter weather and very hot humid summers + the warm Indian Ocean. Lovely quiet beaches and lazy hazy days.
