Number of People in Your Travel Party
The number of people in your travel group will determine the type of accommodation best suited to your group.
A hotel may be less suited for a big travel group, who may be better matched in a self-catering holiday home. Several rooms at a high cost will certainly be less economical than a large house with a fully fitted kitchen where meals can be prepared together.
Budget, Budget, Budget

Self Catering vs Bed and Breakfast
Lengthy stays and large groups may be better suited in self catering accommodation.
A kitchen or kitchenette will be far cheaper in the long run, since self prepared meals will reduce daily travel costs.
Check the Reviews

Location
